All new features for more advanced business process management

With our latest version release, Touch Inspect is more powerful than ever before. Based on customer feedback, we’ve added lots of new features to our already robust mobile business process software. You asked and we listened! Here are just some of the new features that can enhance your business process:

Version 3.0

• Formatted Data Grid. Users now have the option to complete their workflows through a customizable Excel-like grid. The grid has many uses including a means of entry as well as a means of summary prior to saving completed workflows.
• Easily configurable Custom Home Screen. Simplify workflows by giving users only the buttons they need on their Home Screen.
• Actions. Now actions can be used to automatically save work as it is being performed, redirect the user to other screens, or manually set the completion status of workflow processes. This new feature greatly reduces user clicks and user training. Complete tasks faster than ever before.
• Depleting lists. Lists can now be used multiple times over, without repeating the answers previously used. As examples, this is a must for assigning people to work teams or completing inspection and being able to easily see what is left undone. The application of this unique answer type cannot be understated.
• Media Encryption. All images saved by Touch Mobile are now also encrypted and can only be securely accessed by a password protected user.
• Delete existing assets & inspections. Our Data Explorer application now allows administrators with the proper access level to delete existing assets and inspections should they need to. The administrative user can now easily query for and delete existing assets and inspections.
• Major efficiency improvements for Windows Mobile users. Mobile Epiphany’s software is now capable of running faster, handling larger models and accomplishing more intense workflows than ever before, while maintaining the smaller footprint required for Windows Mobile Devices.
• Work Order lists. Within the mobile application, users now have the ability to set a toggle question for assets, such as the status of a work order, thus allowing them to quickly toggle a work order from open to close in a single click. Other answers types beyond work orders can also leverage this one-touch toggle capability.
• Improved backwards navigation. Now when “going back” to a list of assets or inspections the user returns to the last asset or inspection that was viewed. In other words, you don’t lose your place and have to re-navigate through a potentially large list of instances.

Version 2.0.5

• Tablet Capable Screen. This new feature allows users to multitask and view visual information better. Now, users can choose to view our application in standard or full screen mode.Standard mode lets you run our application and other applications side by side. For example, a worker using a tablet computer could continue working through a workflow while having a video call with someone back at the main office.Full screen mode takes full advantage of screen real estate by allowing users to fill up the entire screen and see more area on maps or better detail in images.

Version 2.0

• New Business Process Designer (formerly the “AIF”). Our redesigned configuration tool makes it even faster and easier to design and deploy your business processes and workflows out to the right groups of people who need them.

• Unlimited Business Logic. Now, all answer types feature unlimited branching logic that can give step-by-step instructions to your mobile workforce based on their inputs to ensure a high degree of compliance with your business process.

• Hierarchical Lists. These allow users to drill down through a series of categories allowing for better organization of your data and more sophisticated question types.  And these types of lists mean that when your lists contain 100s and even 1000s of possible entries, your worker is always 2 or 3 clicks away from making the right choice.

• Boolean Logic Formula Builder. Easily create even the most complex Boolean logic formulas with a few clicks of a mouse—no complicated codes to remember or syntax to struggle with.  And then use the results of your equations to guide your business process through branching logic.

• Expanded Drill Downs. Before, it was only possible to drill down on individual forms from their inspections.  This functionality is now extended to all areas of Touch Inspect, thus allowing our system to supports 1000s of asset types, 1000s of children asset types, 100s of inspection types as so on.  And gaining access to any of these on the mobile device is always just 2 or 3 clicks away. Through hierarchical drilling down, the user never sees more than they need to get their job done!

• Unlimited Mathematical Equations. Create any type of mathematical calculation from simple addition and subtraction to more complex algebra and trigonometry equations.  And then use the results of your equation, in combination with our unlimited business logic system, to create limitless opportunities to nail down your precise business process and work flow.  And your users will never even know how the magic is done.

• More Advanced Progressions. Now it is possible to create progressions off of asset properties and every answer type with more advanced logic and more advanced constructions of logic.  But don’t be intimidated.  Even the average user of our tools (a person with a Microsoft Office skill set) can be trained to use these systems in a couple of hours.

• More Control over User Options. With global control over user settings in one place, and individual customization at the device level (if the administrator allows it) you can easily customize your users’ interfaces and permissions by turning on the features they need to see and use and turning off the ones they don’t.

• Enhanced Visual Reporting. New 2D and 3D charts let you visualize your data in a multitude of ways, giving you a more complete picture of your business.

• New Fast Flow Features in the Options Section. Reduce the number of clicks it takes a user to get through a business process and make your workflow more streamlined and your users more productive than ever before.

• Easier Data Migration. Our new list tool makes it easy to import data from existing systems, whether that import is done through our Excel based import system or through direct integration.  In fact, all our objects are fully integration ready with web services and APIs fully documented and ready to work for your project’s success.

• Beyond Lookup Tables. This innovative system allows every list (no matter how complex or hierarchical) to have a multitude of meta-data associated with it which you can leverage in interesting and efficient ways.  For example, every item in a list can have a price and a SKU number associated with it.  Or, every item in a list can have a value associated with it in order to perform weighted scoring in the process of decision branching.  The possibilities are endless and the ease of use of all these new tools will amaze you.
